Wow. When I look back I realize how much has really changed over just the last few months. Here are some of the main things that have happened to me.
First things first, I got a fish! I know plenty of people are thinking "Oh wow, a fish. Greaaaaaat." But in my family, that is an accomplishment. My dad and sister hate dogs, and they are completely against having basically any animal inside our house. My mom doesn't really mind, but everyone would have to agree if we were to buy one. And I would settle for a cat as well, but my mom's allergic. So a fish is probably as far as I'll ever get until I've moved out. I got a blue betta fish and a nice little frog, and they seem to get along just fine... so far. I know Betta's have been known to eat other fish, so I kinda feel like that frog has a shadow of impending doom looming over him. But whatever.
Okay, now for some big stuff. I might be leaving the school I've been at for 9 years (all my school life--K-8) next year, and I might possibly go to... A boarding school. I don't know yet though, since first of all the schools haven't accepted anyone yet, and second of all, I'm not 100% I even want to go. I mean it sounds fun, but then there's the fact that you haven't got parents around. But I'll be honest in saying that I've visited some pretty awesome schools in the past few months.
High school. Next year. Damn. I mean, no matter where I go to school, this is a big deal. Real grades, people actually care about what you do, and shit matters. I know most of you are done with that by now, but this is a pretty huge step for me.
Finally, I've learned a thing or two about mean, fake people. I've gone through a ton of friends over the years, and they always say "Oh we just drifted apart," but of course it had to have been intentional in some way. I mean, In the lower school, I had so many different friends at different times that I can barely keep track. Especially in the last year, since certain people who I cannot name have been total dicks. What I've noticed is that after someone intentionally does something mean to me, I trust less and less people every time.
These are just a few of the things I have learned over the past few months. So I will probably update this next when I hear back from some schools. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee for now
